A bawdy medieval song-cycle about St. Upid, his Numpy Fellowship, and their increasingly disastrous quest for power, glory and holiness. Tavern songs, marches, laments and mock-heroic chants turn the follies of the modern world into a crooked medieval legend filled with dubious miracles, drunken crusades, church councils, ice golems and spectacular disgrace.
Somewhere between a medieval monastery, a drunken tavern and a very questionable church council lies the world of St. Upid. Here, saints make outrageous claims, followers shout their praises, crusaders carry straw swords, ice golems march across the countryside, and every problem somehow requires another scroll, sermon or conspiracy. Tarvetus transforms this fictional medieval chronicle into a theatrical song-cycle where ancient folk traditions collide with the absurdities of the modern world.
